Visiting Professorship "Science and Judaism"

The visiting professorship for "Science and Judaism" is dedicated to the role of knowledge and sciences in Judaism as well as the scientific research of Judaism itself. Attention is thus focused on the one hand on the role and interpretation of knowledge and sciences in Judaism (as the subject of knowledge) since the Middle Ages and the early modern period, and on the other hand on the question of scientific research into Judaism itself (as the object of knowledge) since the 19th century, especially in the "Science of Judaism".
