Cédric Weidmann studied German Linguistics and Literature and Economics at the University of Zurich. He completed his Master's degree in 2017 with a thesis on "The Invasion of Extraterrestrial Economics: The Intrusion of Early Science Fiction into Economic Knowledge 1873-1914". Since October 2017, he has been working on a dissertation on the knowledge history of nostalgia. He is editor of the literary journal "delirium" and author.
